A Bit About the Humble Trout Lily
The Yellow Adder’s Tongue is a small and beautiful native North Carolina flower that grows in rich moist mountain soil. Its stalk, bulbs, flower and buds are edible raw or cooked. Eat these sparingly as they can emetic. The plant only has two leaves, so always harvest responsibly!

Fish Taco Friday –> Available from 11am until gone – fresh fish from Cape Fear Coast Seafood, cooked to perfection with a delectable mix of seasonings, cheese, and greens. One of our deli master’s specialties!
“Sausage Saturday” –> Serving our customers their choice of: HNG Farm brats, Italian sausage or “No Evil” Seitan vegan Italian sausage. . all simmered in a beer based sauce.. snuggled in a bun with relish or kraut atop!

The deli case is stocked each day of the week.. with a rotating selection of:
- Sandwiches packaged with meat, cheese, vegetarian, and vegan choices sandwiches (some made on gluten free bread)
- Fresh guacamole depending on availability
- Pints and half pints available of chicken salad, pimento cheese, egg salad – Fresh, packaged and ready to go
- Panini sandwiches can be warmed up on our grill upon request
- Soup served hot!
